Have always heard the soils in the Ukraine region would rival the best soils in Illinois and Iowa.

I think we have a poster here from that area and the soils looked dark and fertile in the pictures that were posted.

The only thing that has held them back is infrastructure, modern equipment and production practices and the old communist government post WWII.

When that area comes online it could provide serious competition.
