Subject: RE: desert sheep

I literally almost ran into a couple of Big Horn sheep a few years back here in the valley. They were on a dirt road, had to brake hard to keep from hitting them. They were standing in the middle of the road acting dazed. Buddy was with me, we were going to move some cattle. They were never in this area before. We got to our meeting place with other riders and told them about the sheep, they accused us of drinking, and wouldn't believe us. Well when we got home, I called F&G and accused them of transplanting them in the area. Told them it was a waste of time as the cougars here would clean them out.

They denied transplanting them. Well later that day the guys that accused us of drinking saw them, they didn't quit walking. Basically walking roads and fence lines. The next week somebody got a picture of them 30 miles east of us, they made the newspaper. They had come from the Gem Sage area west of us out by the City of Rocks. Long ways away from us.
