Denhoff,ND right in the center of the State | You get by with what you can aford, thats what I do, wish I had a bunk line feeder, but use steel feed bunks, we too use ties, they are getting harder to find and we made all wooden corals 25 years ago and are all being slowly converted to oil field sucker rod panels chained or bolted to RR ties, the wooden corrals just dont seem to last, the wood now days isnt like the old wood years ago, dont like the maintanace of wood also. We leave our cattle in the feed lot out side no barns for them, we just use windbreak panels and bed with straw, put cattle in a barn and they are sick, too much heat and barn sweats, cattle are wet, then sick. They just need windbreak and straw, hell it was -50 here 2 days ago and not a 1 head was in a barn. Terry |
