Subject: RE: morton buildings

I have personally heard of both points being made here. First that morton is higher and that you can get a local lumberyard building spec'd the same for less. I have also heard that the price is close or less. One neighbor just put up a smaller morton shop(40x60) maybe. He said the cost of the shell was less than local-his son is a full time carpenter and couldn't compete, but did do the interior. This was early on '11? when the tax deal was on and buildings were going up like weeds. I was also told that another neighbor who built a larger morton storage building actually got them to come down in price(this was before the building boom and he is a bachelor who is self financed) I got a quote a few years ago and found like others said- not much follow-up, but I am a young guy and priced a large building, that I haven't built yet. When the time comes I will still get a fresh quote from them as well as the local boys-just good business I feel.
