Subject: Prospective corn yeilds

Well i went on a field tour this afternoon with our farm manager. Looks as though the corn yeilds are going to be pretty good with stand counts 30 to 34 thousand and ear averages being 16 to 20 and 35 to 50 long. Had one field where we split the planter...DK 63-74 and Pfister 3356T. Both are triple stacks but there is no comparison, stalk size and quality is way better in the DKC. Our counts today say it'll be 19 bushell better. Definately a big fan of the rootworm corn in our area. Anywon else doing any checks yet?
