NE Iowa | I haven't read any of the other replies, but this reminds me of "drivers ed" in high school. The fellow classmate that I drove with was a farm kid also and knew how to drive. When we went out on a hill with a "three on the tree" one day he would purposely let to roll back and drop the clutch, throwing gravel. I think the teacher knew what was going on, as we never tried after that day.
