When I was in High School Dad had a mid 50s Studebaker pickup with a 3 on the tree. It also had an overdrive that you just let up on the foot feed to shift it to over drive. Yes the Studebaker pickups had that same aircraft nose that the Studebaker cars of that vintage had.
