I have pretty horrible tinnitus. Can hear better than most people but the ringing is constant. It actually keeps me from sleeping if the room is completely silent. The volume just keeps going up until it seems deafening.
From what I've seen there's no fix to it. I'll be the first in line for some bionic ears.
