| The deal with the CRP ground is that it has also been in our family since day 1 (100 + years ago). It's actually my Dad's cousin that owns it. He is getting up there in age, and his kids don't want anything to do with it so eventually, when he is gone, the ground will be gone too. I'm kind of viewing this as my only way to hang on to it. If I can start farming it now, I may be able to purchase it some time down the road (if I can make some money to afford it). If it was some random CRP ground, I wouldn't attempt it, but this ground means more to me that's why I want to try and make a go of it. | |
