SW Ohio | Not that it should influence your decision, but what does your custom combiner have for rows? if he is 6 row then I would look for a six row planter, if he is 8 then likewise. I too would go with just a planter and maybe a sprayer. Not hard to find a 7000, or some other color, may need some work but it gives a solid foundation to end up with what you want and can do the job for many years. If you need to smooth up the CRP you can find a decent disc or some other tillage tool to do it. 100-200 acres gives you a lot of wiggle room. You should not have to have all your ducks lined up (combine, fertilizer spreader, hauling, storage, etc) from the git-go, should be able to hire, beg, borrow, or steal, what you don't have to get started, make a little money and figure out what you want long term and work towards getting that later.
