You need to weld 1 end and then tie a chain and come along on the other and stretch it until the flighting is snug on the shaft. Will probably have hit the flighting with a hammer a time or 2 to help out. Then weld roughly 1" beads at about every 2nd pitch. This is how we usually do it and works out quite well. Good luck
