East Central Ohio | We have one. To make any time at all it is a two man operation. Works good for 'dry wrapping' our best hay. If I have somebody lining up bales and I'm running the wrapper, I figure we can do 15 an hour? Neighbor down the road wraps wet hay with his and just makes sure he slams his bales tight against each other. Wrapper isn't designed to do silage bales, but it works for him. Can't say we've had the same success. If you read the studies done on spoilage of hay stored outside, a $70 roll of plastic and a $2000 wrapper saves you a lot of money with today's hay prices! We are a small operation, making 400 or so bales a year any wrapping maybe 100. If I wanted to wrap more, I might think of renting an inline??? | |
