East Central, Nebraska | i myself still believe the insight is/was a great monitor and if your only using it in your combine and no need for guidence that is the way to go. for the price you cant go wrong and if you eventually need an integra maybe they will be cheaper down the road. i do not know how often you trade combines but a yield monitor will normally increase the value of the combine way more than the equiptment costs, so buying the insight will enable you to leave everything in the combine when you sell or trade, where on the otherside if your using it (an integra) in everything else, and you keep the integra, your half system might as well be no system when selling or trading. and for the people that say that the insight is a thing of the past, yes that might be very true but if you have ever looked for a used combine you will see that the older agleader displays like the 3000 and such are still being used today in older combines, so i would say if you like the idea of putting in a system and leaving it in there why not stick with the insight. myself and a neighbor have insights sitting on our shelves just to be able to throw back in the combine when we trade combines so that it has a complete yield monitor system. | |
