It's Just My Opinion, but if you are talking about a .22 rimfire, that is WAY more scope then you want. Something with a top end magnification of about 6x would be better-again, IMO.

Myself, I would just get single plain crosshairs. How far can you shoot with a .22, anyways? 100 yards is a looong shot with a .22 LR.

I have a Nikon Buckmaster 3x9, I got it used on my 7mm-08 Encore barrel and now I have it on my muzzleloader. The scope is very good, not quite as bright as some others but I killed a lot of deer looking through it.
