the problem with the older New Hollands was they had a U-trough underneath the axle(s) as a shield or somthing and that would fill up with manure and dirt and rust the axle away. my dad bought one from an auction and as he was coming home he went over the railroad tracks and the whole spreader just fell apart. but maybe the new NH's dont have that.
