Subject: barn camera, what do I need?

NW Minnesota
I know this has been rehashed before but I'm trying to make sense of barn cam systems and what works. I have a steel calving barn (40x80) about 500' from my home Line Of Site and calve heifers in the barn. My cows calve in an outdoor area on the opposite side of the barn that is about 200' wide and 120' deep. There is a yard light in the middle of the outside area and the cattle shed has lighting inside and floods outside used when necessary. My question is what kind of camera system do I need. B/W or color? Infrared or not? Long range or extra long range? How many cameras and where? I've been looking at 'river wind' and 'ranch cams' mostly for aprox. $1600 for four cameras. Any others I should look at? Calving about 135 head with just me and my wife, is it worth the money?
