Subject: RE: Did any of you know Ernest Behn - tillplant aka ridgetill pioneer?

Nevada, Iowa
I listened to him speak once in the early eighties. At that same meeting, there was another speaker, Dan Stadtmueller. I believe he was from SE Iowa. He was doing some early work on strip cropping (like 24 rows of corn, 24 rows of beans alternating through the field). He was also ridge till. A very interesting speaker, I enjoyed him much more than Ernie. I wonder what direction their operation took over the following years. I am sure that Dan could be in his seventies now. Anyone know about he and his wife? I recall her name was Diane or Diana. I would be interested in any history about them, thanks.
