Subject: garage heating

Need some advice. We have brought in a 2000 sq. ft. modular house over a full basement. We are now starting to put things together for an attached garage.

We put in floor heating in the floor of the basement. We wanted to do this in the garage and approach as well, but the plumber putting in the system doesn't think one system will be very efficient. I was not thinking about the garage when the tubes were laid out in the basement, so they come out at the opposite end of the house from the garage.

Is there still a way to get the in floor heat in the garage w/o setting up a second system? The plumber thinks there will be too much heat loss running a primary across the length of the house.
