Yes young skywalker,  have one neighbor that held on and enjoyed the benefits of the above post.    He does an excellent job  

We ripped the ridges up fall of 1996, 1997 we still cultivated (not ridged) everything.  Was in the blood, couldn't shake it.  In 1998 we cultivated half and left multiple test strips just to see if we were out there for fun or to get paid......   Cultivators got parked in 1999 due to test strips in 1998.   Thats about the time we got handy with carpentry tools......  

  
You are right, Autosteer would help a bunch to get the ridges set up straight, although, once they are setup, ridge till basically keeps the wheels straight by default.     "Ridge steer"
