I can remember the late 70's and early 80's when land inflated to record highs, and the
the commodity prices that drove land higher deflated. We could still cash flow the land
payment but the interest portion of the debt skyrocketed to 13% and many cases higher
I remember hearing operating money at close to 19%.I believe that had more to do with
the hard times in the mid 80's then anyting else.
