Looked at the 7200/4440 hookup earlier today and wondered what others might say. Would think the left hand single hose in number 1 SCV is planter lift. Double hoses with white tie bands in right hand number 2 SCV for independent marker control. Red hose in bottom added breakaway coupler is supply for vacuum fan control valve on cab rear. That oil is comming from the added power beyond block behind number 2 SCV. The hose with yellow band is return from vac fan motor. It should NOT be dumping that oil in the transmisson case. It should be returning oil in to the return of the power beyond block, which would put the return oil through the filter and back to the front pump. Now if the vac fan motor were replaced today( or if it was a newer planter) it would have a case drain fitting. The third hose then added MUST be returned to the non pressure sump hole in the transmisson case. If this were a 20 or 30 series tractor with the original small transmisson pump it might not work so good. 40 series tractors have much larger transmisson pumps so it will work this way but is still not correct. Ready for the first shot.
