SC Sask | We have a seed cleaning plant that exports quite a bit of organic crop, there are some labs in Europe that can and have detected very small amounts of Glyphosate on the seed. This has brought up many questions as to how it got onto a seeminly organic crop. That is why organic growers NEED to have good buffer strips as well as good neighbors but also everything HAS to be inspected (combine, trucks, custom trucking, etc) it is very expensive to have your organic seed downgraded to common. We had one trucker come to the plant to pick up a load of organic Lentils heading to CA, in the front of the truck there is a pallet with 4 barrels of concentrated Roundup. Trucker tried to tell us that is was organic Roundup......the truck got rejected anyway. | |
