I no tilled for guite a few years. I think notil is a great way to conserve soil. That being said I think no till causes alot of erosion. I have seen alot of waterways sprayed thru and then get farmed thru. Erosion can be controlled by responsible farming practices. Sadly I see alot of bad farming practices and with that it is generally the wider the field cultivator or perhaps planter the more soil goes down the creek. Unless you actually see it and I can attest to my organic ground farms differently than it used to. The tilth is different and it pulls different. One of the contentions that organic practices is that it can take more rain and soak it up than conventional this is due to the structure. It seems so on my farm. When I notilled I was proud of walking thru a field right after a rain in tennis shoes and not getting real muddy. It all goes back to responcibility I can say that I dont have to "repair" washouts with my field cultivator every year.
