I understand that there is money in it or at least there can be money in it.     I wasn't asking why the producer bothers with it, I was asking why the consumer bothers with it.    

 

I'm not scared of going to organic production, I just can't lie to myself that it is better than conventional or a benefit to society in any way, shape, or form.

 

 

 

 

Care to answer the question about why cleanse the soil if you can haul manure (that would supposedly contain pesticide residue) from a CAFO on it?

 

It wouldn't be terribly hard to do weed control with a broadcast application of liquid hog manure followed by a light incorporation.    Think about it.
