Southeastern Kansas | Talked to my grain elevator today and asked if he would forward cash contract any grain for 08 & 09. The same answer as has been most of the fall, we don't want to because we are borrowed to heavily now on margin calls. What other option is there besides the futures market going short and ride the margin calls ourselves? If we did do that, we would still be subject to basis at delivery time. Just sitting here and watching this thing pass us by. Thanks for your input. | |
