Probably that hole is for a pot filler faucet. Golfnut probably will thread a longish nipple in while he's tiling to protect the threads.
Golfnut- There's really no trick or secret to working with the small tile sheets other than just taking your time. The sheets work best in large, open areas. tight spaces are often easier with individual tiles, but you mentioned they're really small, so back to the sheets idea. Some masking tape can help hold things in place if they are tending to drift out of alignment. OHKen is right in mentioning that probably you will see only the errors and everyone else will see only the nice job you did. Good idea to do the bigger tiles first to learn how and then tackle the tougher job. | |
