Yes, as my uncle used to say, "grapefruit is neither grape nor fruit." If you are on various meds you really need to read the label before you eat one of those sour thing.
My wife buys boxes of the small 7 oz cups of Kirkland grapefruit at Costco and they keep for a long time in the refrigerator.
