I started out with a 400 IH 6row dry fert in tilled ground with a IH 544 gas / duals on tractor. Traded planter on a JD 7000 6row, dry fert in tilled ground w/544 gas dualled up tractor - tractor could barely lift it full of fert and seed. Needed to back up a bit, while lifting on hydraulics to get it all the way up. It pulled it fine - In fact, had picket fence spacing. Couldn't set any speed records, so it was just the right set up.
What size of tractor is everyone using on there 6 row planters?
