Subject: RE: Big Seed and Indetermiate soybeans

SW MN and Gold Canyon AZ
Exactly.
its simple, select for yield not seed size !!!Seed sizes have been getting smaller as yields go up !!
Its amazes me how many farmers do not put effort and time into variety selection when its free except for time spent. But they will spend hours and big bucks to try on a dozen things that never pan out.
There can only be one variety that is the top yielder in any given geography. If one selects based on how that variety did over multi yr,multi replicated and multi location data next yr his odds will be alot better than the guy that selects off just one local plot.
Selecting the right soybean for next yr is alot easier than selecting corn hybrids.
