Subject: Not Sure It Is A Problem With Refrigerator

We have an Amana refrigerator with bottom freezer. It is 11 years old but has been doing this off and on for a long time. I have the temperature control set on normal and I put a thermometer in it and it is around 39 degrees. The problem where I keep the vegetables. The veggies in the veggie bin seem to freeze. I put the thermometer in the bin and it is the same as the frig around 39. Not nice to have the carrots and cucumbers and lettuce sometimes freeze. It doesn't happen all the time, but lately it seems more and more they are frozen, or partially frozen. I keep the switch on the bin pointed to the vegetable symbol. I never notice anything with the fruit in the other bin. Any ideas what the problem is?
