NE ND | I agree with Ed. I have some poor fields that I farm too. They are part of farms that include good land also so you take the good with the bad. Poor fields take more management. I have cash flow spread sheets for each field that I farm. That tells me exactly where I am making or lossing money. I would highly suggest you do this. Also reduce fertilizer rates down to match yeilds. Don't just put on what everyone else is applying on good fields. Do soil tests and tissue tests. Keep track of expenses through out the year so you stay on track. Ask the LL if doing a 75/25 split with you paying all the costs would work. | |
