Had field cultivator 20 yrs ago. Bean straw got too tough to go through fc so got 43' sunflower finisher with 9" spacings. Did a great job but took 425+ hp to pull it. In a wet year, whats that, it was too heavy to open up the ground. About 3 yrs ago , because of better choppers on combines and better disk rippers, got a 54' cnh tiger mate with rolling bask and 7" spacing. A lot better mixing, leveling, and at least 50% more done in the same time.
