SW MN and Gold Canyon AZ
To me buying the newest genetics (seed stock increases)and raise them for seed production, from a breeding company gives me a one yr yield advantage over non seedstock commercial seed. New varieties are tested in multi-replicated,multi- location multi-year tests as they are increased and compared to the commercial lines all ready being sold.
Noone ever thinks about this, but the new variety the farmer plants and likes was already grown by someone else a year earlier. Why not be the guy that grows the new stuff first!!
