Ed, I would like to talk about varitey selection. How do we know what's best for our farm??

I think the planting debate has been proven several times, narrow rows with a planter pays.

Soils tests? Tissue tests? I would like to know more? I doubt anyone growing 100 plus bushels beans are applying standard amounts of fertilizer.

Weed control?? I would like to see and discuss reasearch showing how much pre emergants pay, and how much weeds cost us. I have become a weed fanatic on my farm. I apply full rates of pre emergance herbicides much like I am growing conventional beans. Then I apply my over the top roundup very early. 1 inch weeds or less. I think it is really paying off on my farm.

Ed, what I really want to know is how to we get the plant to set more pods and how do we get those pods to fill longer. More pods, bigger bean seeds. I think that is the key t higher yields
