 West Tennessee | In Tennessee at least a hand written will is certainly valid. It has to be witnessed by two disinterested parties I believe and basically needs to be in your handwriting. I'm no lawyer so take this for what it's worth. If you don't really have complicated estate issues then you should be fine. I'm with some of the others though and IMO the attorney is probably the best route to go. They do this everyday and see some of the pitfalls. It should not cost all that much. Be sure that whoever needs to know is informed of where the will is kept. | |
