USA | Mine were all double crops, neighbor planted several hundred acres of Jacob beans as single crop beans. He liked them, yield was a good as anything he had, he really liked how easy they were to run through the combine.
Mine as double crops were not as good as the 3.7 Liberty beans I plant, but wouldn't say this year was probably a fair test for them either. Jacobs got corn ear worms in them that damaged about 25% of the pods, LL beans didn't have damage from corn ear worms, don't have a clue as to why the differnce.
In fact have never had corn ears worms before in beans.
Jacob seems to be a pretty good bean for tuff droughty conditions.
Am going to plant some again this year , my biggest concern about them for double crop is they mightbe a little too long season for here.
