Subject: RE: Jacobs should work good in your area Eddie

USA
Mine were all double crops, neighbor planted several hundred acres of Jacob beans as single crop beans. He liked them, yield was a good as anything he had, he really liked how easy they were to run through the combine.

Mine as double crops were not as good as the 3.7 Liberty beans I plant, but wouldn't say this year was probably a fair test for them either. Jacobs got corn ear worms in them that damaged about 25% of the pods, LL beans didn't have damage from corn ear worms, don't have a clue as to why the differnce.

In fact have never had corn ears worms before in beans.

Jacob seems to be a pretty good bean for tuff droughty conditions.

Am going to plant some again this year , my biggest concern about them for double crop is they mightbe a little too long season for here.
