That's great that it's worked that way for you.  I know others who have been equally fortunate.  I walked into the farrowing house one early morning just in time to see two cats killing (and eating parts of) newborn pigs as soon as they hit the ground.  Was a bad day to be a cat on this farm after that.

We had cats eating our chicks right out of our hen house .Also, the at one they ate our eggs right out of chicken nests.....
They do a good job of mice control on our farm , but I don't want them inside buildings and trucks or tractors we milked the cats figured out that they could lift the hose port lid like a pet door and enter them milk room which is a violation of dairy inspection codes. We had to latch it shut even tough it was a gravity lift type hose port. The milk man seemed to forget to latch it and the tank would drip on the outlet so there would be milk on the floor until we got there to wash up the floor again.. ya,,,,,, that didn't go over so nicely, milky dirty cat paw marks and cat hair on all the milking stuff and tank...Not appetizing at all. Also, the cats eating the afterbirth right out of a cow really turns my thinking a bit.But that is nature in action I guess. it all depends if it bothers you or not.
