We're on our second Culligan unit in 38 years.  We own it, and owned the first one.  I'm sure there are probably excellent options out there, but we've been very satisfied with the Culligans.  When we had to have repairs, my husband was able to do most, and the rate for the tech to come from Culligan for something he couldn't take care of wasn't bad at all.
