humboldt iowa | I am wanting to feed some cattle. my questions are as follows
1. can i bunk feed corn with top dress protein 1 lb per head per day and free choice hay in a ring ( have 40 800lb oat hay) plus stalks and small squares
2. how much bunk space per head (got 2 16ft wood bunks)
3. how much corn to take a feeder say 450lbs to finish 1200lbs or so
i know would be easier with tractor and feed wagon but dont have the feed wagon or the money to buy both the calves and a feed wagon. i am just getting started in this adventure so keep that in mind. i dont have a lot of cash to get started but want to feed cattle
if you have any other idea that will make this a better deal let me know i am all ears
