I would have to say a great year, we corn planted mid april then big rain, ponds full, went to Mn, for grandsons collage grad. came home water gone lost about half acre. planted beans end Apr, 1st May, then back to Mn, for a 2nd grandsons high school grad. in between a 8th grade grad, for a grandson close to home. crops looked good had a frost on wheat burnt tops but must of not hurt them, went between 88 and 101. Started combing an June 20 and drill DC beans on 21st. then light rain for couple days so went to Mackinac Is. on bus trip, came home finished wheat and DC beans on 28th came up good, look good with lite rains. Went to Wi. fishing in Aug. Dc beans until frost in Sep tops pods flat, nabors and I started corn late Sep some great yields, beans o]in mid Oct good yields, DC beans late Oct fair yields, 7 to 20, Back to Mn. for a Paddle boat Cruse on Miss. River from St. Paul to Wabash and then to Red Wing on American Queen for 3 nights and then with son and Dau-in-law to west shore Lake Sup. for 3 days, Great Thanksgiving and our Christmas then because family home from Mn. and Indy for 5 days, just 18 of us on Thanksgiving and extra 6 for the rest of the time, Great Year I Have to say. and YES I do have time to farm (not that big of one). and coffee time also we call it our meeting ( have to discuss our business- wife says it is BS or gossip time) HAVE A HAPPY NEW YEAR and A GREAT 2013/
