Scribner, NE | Dry hit us hard also. For several reasons I was a little behind in the planting. Later than I would have liked... The yields on dryland were not great but high enough the crop insurance did not pay out. Irrigated corn was outstanding. Good commodity prices were helpful. Did something I thought out of the question and am anxious to get started planting the new farm.
Son was married in June to a young lady who was one of my students. Good hearted fun little lady. Love her much. Daughter studying in Spain for a year and miss her much. Lost dad in law and I miss the talks we often shared. He was 91 and lived through some real challenges. Overall, good experience. | |
