Biggest trouble where you are at is getting it to dry enough to bale. We don't usually have that problem out here in the Great American Desert. Run the conditioners tight to smash the stems good helps. Thicker planting will also help make the stems smaller. I plant about 7 lbs seed to the acre in 12 inch rows with a drill, others plant up to 30# under irrigation. |
