Baldwin City, KS | Some forward info: My operation is about 700 acres and growing. I don't really have any sort of a marketing plan that I stick to, other than doing some forward contracting and trying to hit good cash prices with stored grain. I don't have any on farm storage, but I would be inclined to put some up if I could make it pay. I have very little marketing knowlege, formal or otherwise, but I know that I better quit winging it or could leave alot of money on the table.
I have asked a few marketing questions here before and you guys were helpful. I'm thinking that finding a marketing service who is big on education would be beneficial. How do these guys charge? Would it be cost effective for an operation of my current size with no on farm storage? Who would you guys reccomend talking to that would help with education and be a long term partner through the ups and downs of this business? | |
