sc ia | I've been following this thread ever since you started it Deb. And it has been my inspiration to keep going to a "better" me! After getting the wake-up call that my cholesterol was too high & dealing with higher than I should have b/p....last December I started walking the hills of our farm. If those don't kill you...they make you stronger!! Then in January I started walking with a group of retired ladies & a few men at what's left of our hometown school.....the gym. 6 months later the weight was down some & all the other #s were lower so I continued on my walking program. I developed what they call tarsal tunnel of the feet so that's been interesting. Stop walking & hope the issue goes away or keep walking with the health benefits??!! I chose to keep walking. In November I had the GI crud that was going around. Great way to lose weight but not the recommended procedure! Then a week after Thanksgiving I had surgery on my foot. I am still in a walking boot until Thursday when I go back to the dr & hopefully get released to start back on my walking program. I have a feeling though I'm going to be kept from that a while longer. I have put back a couple of 2 lbs which is better than it could have been with all the extra goodies around here & not being able to exercise. I don't want a huge weight drop....just enough to feel good about myself & keep my #s down. I always look for this post every Sunday or Monday so please keep it going. It makes me think I too can do this!! Happy New Year!! Jane....aka mrs t-boss | |
