Never locked front or back up but have used hole covers mentioned above and drove accordingly. Went back to 7.5 in just easier and quicker canopy. Side by side tests I've done can't tell much difference in yield 7.5, 15, or 30 inch. Will save seed cost with planter at 30 inch.
