SE Michigan | Since I have been enjoying all the 2012 pic's, I doug these out of my files:
The three tractors we used in 1982, Allis D-17 series 4, wish we still had that today, very fuel efficient and good hyd's, traded it for a IH 884 in the mid 90's, was dissapointed compared to the Allis. Also a 1964 Ford 4000, bought that with a bad clutch, towed it home and had it going in about a week. I restored it a few yrs ago and a Cub 100 thatI learned to drive a tractor on.
When I was about 14, I use to take the Cub over to my Grndmas house (1 mile away) on a trailer behind the Ford 4000 to cut the 2+acres of grass. That's one of the fondest memories I still have of that time. Also in the background is my first car, a 1969 Ford fairlane that we were fixing up so I had a car when I started driving.
Also, a pic of the Allis in 79 just after we got it from a consignment sale in Ohio, had it over-hauled and put on a fresh paint.
