central illinois | Started flying in a Tri-Pacer moved up into a Navion, sold it bought a Mooney.Liked the Navion best lots of room, not to fast butwas a good short field plane. Had a 2000 ft sod strip beside my house. The Mooney was a good cross country plane fast on 10 gal per hr. Not much room and on hot days you had to be careful with your load on 2000 ft grass, Daughters went to college got married , bye bye Mooney. Still miss flying got my cfi, multi, instrument and commercial,. Took a 10 hr airobatic course in Arizona, in a Citabria 150 lots of fun. Have 3000hours logged havn't flew since1986. | |
