Dalton, OH
It was a Krone design that Deere built in the US by Deere after Deere made the changes they felt they needed to make. The original Krone version in Germany had a pre-chamber, optional double knotter, and some other things. The Deere 100 was part of a trade they made with Krone where Krone had access to an engine and cab to use on the original Big M mower. That deal went south when Krone developed their own self-propelled forage harvestor and Deere wasn't happy. Many people don't realize that Krone is one of the largest Deere dealers in Germany and still is so they have a long-standing relationship with Deere. I had a Deere 100 and in dry hay with big rows, it was an animal. Any other Conditions, good luck. Today, it's easier to get parts for a 100 through Krone than Deere.
