Washington Co Ks | When I was a kid my dad fed out his calves. One time when my moms aunt & uncle from the city were visiting they were looking at the calves that were ready to go to market. My uncle started to figure how much money Dad was going to get based on the price of steak in the store. My dad set him straight and told him that his meat bill wouldn't be so high if he ate something besides steak and did as we did and also ate a lot of hamberger and used the soup bones. I think he got the message but I wonder how many city slickers never get the whole story. | |
