You covered a wide area in that series of questions! If youare all CB rotation I'd say no way would I want the stalks chopped. I do run stompers on every row to try to lay the stalks over so they don't tear up the planter in the spring. I like to leave the stalks attached as they are easier to work thru and there is less chance of plugging. You don't say what your planter has for attachments, but it sounds like you have coulters. That is the 1st change I would advise. Lose the coulters and get some trash whippers.
